He is a graduate (1970) and a long-time research and teaching worker at the Wrocław University of Technology. In the years 1968–1989, an activist of the democratic opposition in the Polish People’s Republic, one of the leaders of the underground organization “Fighting Solidarity”. From 1970 to 2008 he worked as an academic teacher at the Faculty of Electronics of the Wrocław University of Technology, he conducted classes in subjects related to the basics of telecommunications and digital signal processing, speech signal synthesis and recognition, and intelligent power networks. In 1978 he was awarded the title of doctor of technical sciences with the award of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for an outstanding doctoral dissertation in speech synthesis. He is still an active lecturer of economic development strategies in the conditions of the global economy in postgraduate studies. He is the author of several dozen scientific and research works in the field of telecommunications, digital signal processing and speech signal synthesis, analysis and recognition, as well as the author or co-author of several dozen reports, publications and papers on the transformation of the economy and educational systems as well as the energy market and the functioning of the Polish and European system power.

The research and teaching work of prof. W. Myślecki connects with the performance of management and supervisory functions in the economy. As president, member of the management board, member and chairman of supervisory boards, he was or is associated with such companies as: Global Investment Corporation, Bank Zachodni WBK, Wałbrzyskie Zakłady Koksacyjne “Victoria”, Winuel, Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne, KGHM Polska Miedź, Generali PTE, Procom System; Alior Bank, Tauron Polska Energia, Energa Wytwarzanie, Telefonia Lokalna DIALOG, Ekoenergetyka-Polska.

Professor Myślecki has been cooperating with UPWr since the 1990s. He participated in the creation of the Wrocław Technology Park and the NUTRIBIOMED cluster, supported the creation of the “Lower Silesia. Green Valley of Food and Health ”. From 2016 to 2019, he was a member of the Convention of the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław and the Wrocław University of Technology.
