He built, among others: unconventional vehicles, vehicles to break records in minimum fuel consumption (Polish record and one of the best results in the world – 2.82 l / 100 km in 1980), mobile and anthropomorphic robots, the first Polish autonomous vehicle (2012 ), zero-emission electric car (2018), electric motorcycles that won the Electrical Motorcycles Challenge in Barcelona (2012-2019). Dr inż. Wojciech Myślecki

 

Information

He is a graduate (1970) and a long-time research and teaching worker at the Wrocław University of Technology. In the years 1968–1989, an activist of the democratic opposition in the Polish People’s Republic, one of the leaders of the underground organization “Fighting Solidarity”. From 1970 to 2008 he worked as an academic teacher at the Faculty of Electronics of the Wrocław University of Technology, he conducted classes in subjects related to the basics of telecommunications and digital signal processing, speech signal synthesis and recognition, and intelligent power networks. In 1978 he was awarded the title of doctor of technical sciences with the award of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for an outstanding doctoral dissertation in speech synthesis. He is still an active lecturer of economic development strategies in the conditions of the global economy in postgraduate studies. He is the author of several dozen scientific and research works in the field of telecommunications, digital signal processing and speech signal synthesis, analysis and recognition, as well as the author or co-author of several dozen reports, publications and papers on the transformation of the economy and educational systems as well as the energy market and the functioning of the Polish and European system power.

The research and teaching work of prof. W. Myślecki connects with the performance of management and supervisory functions in the economy. As president, member of the management board, member and chairman of supervisory boards, he was or is associated with such companies as: Global Investment Corporation, Bank Zachodni WBK, Wałbrzyskie Zakłady Koksacyjne “Victoria”, Winuel, Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne, KGHM Polska Miedź, Generali PTE, Procom System; Alior Bank, Tauron Polska Energia, Energa Wytwarzanie, Telefonia Lokalna DIALOG, Ekoenergetyka-Polska.

Professor Myślecki has been cooperating with UPWr since the 1990s. He participated in the creation of the Wrocław Technology Park and the NUTRIBIOMED cluster, supported the creation of the “Lower Silesia. Green Valley of Food and Health ”. From 2016 to 2019, he was a member of the Convention of the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław and the Wrocław University of Technology.

Krzysztof Domarecki

Information

Founder, majority shareholder and president of the management board of Selena FM S.A. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at the University of Wrocław, he also studied philosophy. In the years 1983 – 1991 he worked at the Department of State Law of the University of Wrocław, where he dealt with the judiciary and the presidential system.

In 1992, he founded Selena, which is currently a global producer and distributor of construction chemicals with its headquarters in Wrocław. In the 1990s, he launched the Tytan brand. At the same time, he built distribution from scratch and founded sales branches throughout Poland. Successively, he launched the first 3 production plants: Carina, Orion and Libra – transforming the company from a distributor into a manufacturer. Selena has become one of the most important players in the construction chemicals market in the country.

In 1999-2008, he started Selena’s international expansion, expanding distribution networks and promoting the Tytan and Artelit brands outside the country. In 2008, the shares of the Group’s holding company – Selena FM SA – were first listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

Currently, Selena consists of 33 companies in 16 countries with its own R&D department with a central laboratory in Poland. Selena’s production plants are located in Poland, Brazil, Korea, China, Romania, Turkey and Spain, and the products are available on over 70 markets.

Since 2009, Krzysztof Domarecki has been actively investing in the market of Venture Capital funds. His Fidiasz FIZ fund provides young companies with financing and substantive support from an experienced team in the field of competence development, marketing, introducing innovative products or services to the market, and then international expansion. Fidias first investment is FinAi – a Polish company from the fintech industry, which has developed and implemented an innovative platform that simplifies the customer’s path to obtaining a bank loan.

In 2016, the founder of Selena was awarded the “Bene merito” medal by the Minister of Foreign Affairs for his activities strengthening Poland’s position on the international arena, and in May 2019 – he received the Medal of the Centenary of Regaining Independence from the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland for building a civic community and economic prosperity of the country.

He also received many honors and titles, including:

• Award of the President of Wrocław for “placing Wrocław’s economy in a global network of connections and building a recognizable brand of the company”
• Honorable mention in the “Entrepreneur of the Year” competition – category “Social Responsibility” – organized by Ernst & Young
• Vector Award 2017 – awarded by the Employers of the Republic of Poland to personalities who, with their activities, indicate the directions of development of the Polish economy that are worth following.

In March 2019, the senate of the University of Economics in Wrocław elected Krzysztof Domarecki to the first Council of the University of Economics in Wrocław.

Krzysztof Domarecki’s non-business interests include, among others: philosophy, history and the theory of globalization.

Stefan Kamiński

President of the Management Board of the Polish Chamber of Commerce for Electronics and Telecommunications. Co-author of the customs policy for the electronics industry and Poland’s strategy for the ITA Agreement (from the point of view of the interests of the electronics industry in Poland).

Member of many working groups on the classification of electronic goods (mainly in the Ministry of Finance and DG TAXUD). Co-author of the “Strategy for the electronics industry until 2010” – adopted by the Council of Ministers on January 7, 2003, Member of the Scientific Council for the Strategic Government Program – “Development of Blue Optoelectronics”, Member of the Scientific Council of the “TIFORA” Consortium. Member of the Program Council of the “IUSER” cluster, Member of the Program Board of the Energy Market Workshops. Member of the Steering Committee of the Sectoral Operational Program “Improvement of the Competitiveness of Enterprises”.

Co-author and head of many working teams preparing tender documentation for alternative telecommunications operators (over 35 documentation in total). He was awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta (2010). He received the badge “Meritorious for Communications”, the Golden Honorary Badge of the Polish Chamber of Commerce, merit for Polish Culture and the Medal of prof. Janusz Groszkowski. Awarded with the title of “Outstanding Leader” as part of the Polish Quality Award.

Dr Maciej Kawecki

Doctor of Laws, academic teacher, government official, dean of the WSB University in Warsaw since 2019. In 2017–2019 he was the coordinator of the national personal data protection reform, and in 2018–2019 he was the director of the data management department at the Ministry of Digitization.

In 2016–2017, advisor to the Minister of Digitization, deputy director from 2017, and then director of the data management department in the same ministry. A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, where in 2016 he defended his doctoral thesis on the EU reform of personal data protection. He also studied at the University of Stockholm and the University of J.W. Goethe in Frankfurt am Main. He graduated with honors from the European Academy of Diplomacy. In 2015–2016, he was employed at the Office of the Inspector General for Personal Data Protection. In 2016, he was entered on the list of advocates at the District Bar Council in Warsaw – due to his function, he does not practice. In 2017, he was awarded a special award for his contribution to the reform of personal data protection in the Lawyers Leaders of Tomorrow competition organized by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna and Wolters Kluwer Publishing House. In 2018, he was 23rd in the ranking of the 50 most influential lawyers in Poland by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, in 2019 he was promoted to 15th position in the same ranking, becoming the “face of the GDPR in Poland”.

In 2017, he was entrusted with the task of coordinating the national reform of personal data protection in the Ministry of Digital Affairs in connection with the planned entry into force of the GDPR. He was co-responsible for the implementation of the new personal data protection system into the Polish legal system. He is the chairman of the Working Group for the Protection of Personal Data at the Ministry of Digitization and the Council for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Unions in matters of data processing by them. He is also an assistant professor at the Warsaw University of Technology and the author of several dozen publications on personal data security, and a co-author of the commentary on the GDPR of 2017. On August 1, 2019, he became the dean of the WSB University in Warsaw, resigning from the position of department director at the Ministry of Digitization.

Dr hab n. med. Adam Maciejczyk

Dr hab. n. med. Adam Maciejczyk is an oncologist, specialist in the field of oncological radiotherapy and director of the Lower Silesian Oncology Center, head of the Radiation Therapy Clinic of the Medical University in Wrocław, president of the Polish Oncological Society and president of the National Association of Public Oncological Centers and Institutes.

Dr. Adam Maciejczyk specializes in the treatment of childhood cancer. He is a member of the Main Board of the Polish Society of Oncological Radiotherapy (PTRO), as well as the coordinator of the Pediatric Radiotherapy Section in the Polish Pediatric Solid Tumors Group. He is also a member of the European Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ESTRO), Pediatric Radiation Oncology Society (PROS).

In addition, he is a member of the National Council for Oncology on behalf of the Polish Society of Oncology, the Scientific Council of the Oncology Center-Institute. M. Skłodowskiej-Curie in Warsaw and the Transparency Council of the Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Tariffs.

He gained his professional experience in the international arena as a project coordinator and designer. His history with design began in the German automotive industry, where he gained invaluable experience in the field of technology, production and design of mechanical assemblies. The next step was work in the Research and Development Department of the audio and audio automotive industry, which resulted in obtaining an international patent for Bang & Olufsen. Working in a Danish company taught him abstract thinking, managing an international team and instilling in him 3D printing technology.

After graduation, he completed a 6-month internship in a Polish company dealing in plastics processing. After the internship, he and his father opened a company dealing with new technologies. Wolf Project Studio has existed since March 2014. From the very beginning, the company dealt with innovative technologies and designing solutions and machines for production technology. Currently, Wolf has its own separate product brands. Wolfix – production of filaments, Wolfino – 3D printers, Wolfer – CNC devices as well as Wolf Project and Wolf Design responsible for prototyping and design.
